"Sometimes I have to be creative to help the person accomplish their goals. That's my favorite part of OT-the many different ways a person can do the task and be successful."- Jenny Krey, OTR

Jenny's involvement in Occupational Therapy goes back to her high school days in Topeka, Kansas, where she grew up.  As a high schooler, Jenny got first-hand experience in her future career field by volunteering at the Topeka VA clinic in the OT department. From there, she went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree and eventually, found her way to Portage where she serves patients in the Rehab clinic and carries a speciality certification in Lymphedema treatment.

"I grew up outside of Topeka, Kansas, and went to a very small, rural high school. Topographically it isnt much different, lots of trees and hills. I've been closer to tornadoes in Wisconsin than I was in Kansas!"

Enjoying the beautiful scenery, changing seasons, and all of the water landscapes in Wisconsin aren't all that she appreciates about living in the area. She says that Divine Savior offers a truly valuable continuum of care to the people it serves; a continuum of care that she is pleased to be a part of.  By helping people regain and maintain functional independence with life tasks that are important to them, Jenny plays a valuable part in the greater mission of helping people feel better.
