"Seeing people improve in their functional lives as a result of medical care that I was able to provide is the most rewarding aspect of my career."

— Dr. Kenneth Oh

Divine Savior Healthcare is pleased to have Board Certified physician Dr. Kenneth Oh available to our community.

After receiving his degree as a Doctor of Medicine at New York University, Dr. Oh earned his Board Certification in physiatry by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as the American Board of Preventive Medicine. "My parents are both physicians," Dr. Oh tells us. "Their positive stories regarding the medical field encouraged me to pursue a career as a physician."

Many of our physicians called Wisconsin home long before their commitment to Divine Savior Healthcare. As for Dr. Oh, home was Montreal in Quebec, Canada. He has since enjoyed joining the Portage community and appreciates how courteous and friendly everyone is. Another perk he appreciates? Low traffic!

Despite this, Dr. Oh cannot help but be discouraged to this day over our cuisine options. "You can't find a Montreal smoked meat sandwich anywhere in Portage! Or anywhere in Wisconsin!" he says.

Dr. Oh can be found in Divine Savior Healthcare's Occupational Health Department, serving the needs of not only the local community but the entire staff of Divine Savior Healthcare. Providing physicals and examining any limitations, Dr. Oh helps to ensure that all Divine Savior Healthcare employees are in their best possible state of health to be able to provide services to the community.

"I try to make extra effort to ensure that my patients leave each visit with a good understanding of what might be causing their medical problem and that they are involved with their treatment decisions," Dr. Oh says.

Dr. Oh feels that Divine Savior Healthcare is a valuable contribution to our community, specifically citing the abundance of Board Certified medical care that is available.

In his free time, Dr. Oh enjoys hiking, camping and martial arts.

Throughout his life, the most memorable advice he has ever heard was by a 5-year old girl diagnosed with progeria. "Be fabulous," she said. "Don't let one thing ruin your life!"
