“Take pride in how far you have come. Have faith in how far you can go. If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you.”
-Amy Pelton, PTA

Amy always knew that she wanted to do something in the medical field, she just wasn’t always sure what.

“I had got an injury when I was young and needed physical therapy,” Amy shares. “It stuck with me after that.”

Amy went on to earn her Associate of Science degree at Western Wisconsin Technical School. From there, she joined the team at Divine Savior Healthcare as one of our talented physical therapy assistants.

“I love seeing the outcomes,” Amy tells us. “When a patient meets their goals, you can see the excitement in their eyes!”

Amy describes herself as a “small town girl through and through.” This is just one of the many reasons that she appreciates not only the area, but the people in it.

“The small town feel is what I love, a place where everyone still has manners and are polite.”

When she’s not assisting at Divine Savior Healthcare, Amy tells us she is outside as much as possible.

“I love hiking and try to hit the local trails as much as I can. Devil’s Lake is my favorite. Recently, I have been trying to do all the state parks with my husband and our dog,” Amy says.

The advice that she would share to her patients is to do a little more each day than you think you can do. This is what will help you to reach your goals.
