Pink Ribbon Angels, Inc. Announce Donation to Newly Established Cancer Fund at Divine Savior Healthcare

After years of dedication to improving the lives of those in Columbia County touched by breast cancer, the Pink Ribbon Angels are announcing the discontinuation of their organization. The Pink Ribbon Angels have donated the organization’s funds to the Cancer Fund at Divine Savior Healthcare, which is dedicated to impacting cancer treatment, detection, prevention, awareness and education in Portage and surrounding communities.

The Pink Ribbon Angels of Columbia County were established in 2005 by a group of five women with a shared desire to make an impact. The combination of their determination and the financial support from the community allowed them to provide financial assistance for so many in the community.

“It is with mixed feelings that we announce the discontinuation of our organization in this community,” states Pink Ribbon Angels representative Michele Kornaus. “We will miss making connections and providing support to those being screened, diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, but feel confident that Divine Savior Healthcare shares our mission to help those right here in our community and will continue to make an impact with these funds.”

“We are incredibly thankful for the Pink Ribbon Angels and all they’ve been able to do for our community,” states CEO Michael Decker. “We will work our hardest to honor their work and legacy as we utilize their generous donation to continue to improve the quality of life for our community.”
