Our Services - Specialty Medicine
There are times when more specialized medicine may be required. Divine Savior Healthcare offers services in the following specialized fields:
Cardiac Rehab
The Cardiac Rehab program is carefully designed to restore an individual with heart disease to an optimal level of well being. We offer three programs: Inpatient Phase I, Outpatient Phase II and Outpatient Phase III. Each level of care brings to the patient educational opportunities and physical conditioning appropriate to their level of care. An inter-disciplinary team consisting of the patient’s physician, nurses, dietitians, and therapists work with the individual patient.
Cardiopulmonary Services
This department provides care and diagnostics in two major areas: Cardiology and Pulmonology. Our staff of physicians, therapists, medical assistants and nurses perform Pulmonary Function, Exercise and Nuclear Stress testing, and Bronchoscopic procedures. Visiting Pulmonologists and Cardiologists provide consultation and care to patients with lung and/or heart problems.
Nuclear Medicine Cardiology
Nuclear medicine cardiology procedures are available for evaluating blood flow through the cardiac muscle. This technology allows the cardiologist to evaluate the patient’s status even if they are physically unable to perform a treadmill test.
Echocardiograms
Echocardiograms (Echos) are a graphic outline of the heart’s movement, used to evaluate the pumping action of the heart. During this test sound waves provide pictures of the different areas in the heart.
Respiratory Care
Respiratory Care personnel provide service to the acute, critical and emergency departments on a 24-hour, 7-day per week basis.
Sleep Disorders Laboratory
Polysomnography testing is a an overnight test to evaluate a number of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy and chronic insomnia. This includes monitoring of the patient's airflow though the nose and mouth, electrocardiography activity, blood oxygen level, brain wave pattern, eye movement and the movement of respiratory muscle and limbs.
