Urgent News!

Winter is prime time for slips, trips, bumps, bruises, sneezes and earaches. Divine Savior Healthcare would like to remind you about our urgent and emergent services available when you need them.

No appointment necessary; no need to call ahead

Illnesses and injuries such as sore throats, sprains and strains, cuts, colds and the flu always seem to strike when your doctor’s office is closed for the night. But sometimes you just can’t wait a day or two for care. Urgent Care at Divine Savior Healthcare provides after-hours care to keep you safe and comfortable until you can see your primary doctor. Our onsite labX-ray and other diagnostic services put you on the fast track to care close to home. And if your condition calls for a bit more attention, our Emergency Department is just down the hall.

We are also pleased to provide patients the InstyMeds prescription medication dispenser. InstyMeds is available 24 hours right in our facility to make filling most basic prescriptions easy and to save you a trip to the pharmacy.

Urgent care vs. emergency care

Urgent Care, available nights and weekends, is designed for urgent medical needs that are not life-threatening, but still require prompt attention. Divine Savior stresses that Urgent Care is not intended to replace a family physician. Examples of minor illnesses or injuries that are appropriate for Urgent Care include: minor cuts, scrapes and bruises, sore throats, urinary burning, skin rashes, ear pain, sprains, fever, back pain, eye irritations, colds and flu.

Emergency Care is available 24 hours every day at Divine Savior Healthcare for symptoms that may indicate a life-threatening illness or injury. Examples include: abdominal pain, alcohol or drug intoxication/overdose, amputations or severe lacerations, bone fractures, facial or eye trauma, gunshot or knife wounds, loss of consciousness, seizures or convulsions, severe headaches, shortness of breath, suicide attempt, or suspected heart attack or stroke.

Determining your level of care

Divine Savior Healthcare’s staff is here to determine the level of care you need based on your symptoms. If you are here during Urgent Care hours and your symptoms or diagnosis changes during your visit, your status may change to emergent and you will be billed accordingly.

Urgent Care services are available Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. To access Urgent Care, please use the Emergency Department entrance and check in at the greeter’s desk.
