Divine Savior Healthcare is pleased to announce its newest investment in our Diagnostic Imaging Department, the LightSpeed VCT, with ASiR. The name by no means lives up to the product and what it can do for you and your family. This exciting new piece of technology now allows Divine Savior Healthcare to provide medical imaging to you and your family while potentially cutting your dose of radiation nearly in half.

ASiR (Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction) is industry-leading breakthrough technology by GE Healthcare. Divine Savior Healthcare is thrilled to have invested in this technology to lower your radiation dose. Without compromising image quality, ASiR can capture needed images with up to 40% less radiation. That’s right, we said forty percent less!

For those who require multiple images or routine follow up scans, the difference can be remarkable. Even if just one image is required, any patient, parent or caregiver can be comforted knowing that they or their loved one were not exposed to any more radiation than necessary. 

All things advance, and Divine Savior Healthcare and our services are no different. As an added bonus, GE Healthcare’s latest medical advancement is able to subtract visual noise, not just mask it. As a result, ASiR is able to capture image quality with improved low contrast detectability (LCD). In other words, the “fuzz” that is common on images is reduced.

CT scans are used for countless reasons. Whether your physician is looking to diagnose cancer or is investigating arthritis, CT may be the choice for you. Now, with lower radiation doses available, those procedures can be even safer.  The upgrade isn’t one that we were required to do, but at Divine Savior Healthcare we feel it is important to be able to offer our patients that extra piece of mind.

Divine Savior Healthcare’s Diagnostic Imaging Department is fully equipped for everything from nuclear medicine to bone densitometry and even the latest in digital mammography equipment – all operated by a caring and competent group of imaging professionals.

Our treatment options are not only conveniently located, we are ready and available for any emergency needs that may arise. We have a certified technologist available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We do have normal clinic hours for routine appointments, but we will work with you to accommodate any special needs. Specialty technologists are always on call for emergencies or when the need arises.
