Dr. Joshua Pogorelec is a member of the General Surgery team with Surgical Associates along with Dr. Matthew Lynch and Dr. Stephen Paulk. Dr. Joshua Pogorelec joins us with his wife, Dr. Jill Pogorelec, from Ohio where he recently finished his general surgery residency at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon. He received his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from A.T. Still – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri after receiving masters of health administration from the same university. He is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Dr. Pogorelec chose medicine because of his desire to improve the quality of life for others. As a general surgeon, he finds he is able to provide people with quality and compassionate health care while also finding enjoyment in the complexity and variety involved in this area of medicine. His personal interests include spending time with his family, including his two children, as well as outdoor activities like hunting, fishing and boating. |
