“Divine Savior Healthcare has outstanding and caring staff. It’s one of the most valuable contributions that we offer to the area.”
-Joseph Joslyn, PA-C
Joseph Joslyn was born in the big sky country of Montana before relocating to Madison, Wisconsin and eventually finding his way here to Divine Savior Healthcare.
Joseph joined the Air National Guard 19 years ago, and still serves today. While in the military, a fellow Physician Assistant (PA) he served with encouraged him to go to PA school. Following that advice is what has brought him here to us, at Divine Savior Healthcare rather than pursuing another interest to become a history professor.
“The best advice I’ve ever been given was to continue my education,” Joseph said.
Currently, Joseph works as a PA-C in the Divine Savior Healthcare Urgent Care and Emergency Department. Although we would prefer that the situation never arises, Joseph is here to help if it’s needed.
“I enjoy helping people and appreciate the diversity of conditions and patients that we encounter in a small town ER,” he said. “I’m a team player too; I’m willing to work extra and cover shifts when the community needs me.”
Caring for people far from home is not something new to Joseph. After deploying to Afghanistan in 2010 with the Montana Air National Guard, Joseph was awarded an Air Force Commendation Medal in part due to care that he rendered to Afghanistan children after their village was attacked.
Outside of work, Joseph enjoys living in Madison with all the different things that are available to him to see and do. |
