Club Scrub!!
Returning soon to Divine Savior Healthcare!
Once again, Divine Savior Healthcare will be hosting a fun-filled Club Scrub program. You may have seen these students in their orange scrub tops around the hospital, always with smile on their faces! Now, your child can join Club Scrub as well!
Club Scrub is an after-school program designed to spark interest in health-related careers among 7th and 8th grade students through informative, hands-on activities. Students will have the opportunity to speak with health care providers and try things out in a variety of hospital departments, (including, nursing areas, emergency room, surgery, and various therapy departments). Participants will also receive cool prizes and try hands on activities, in addition to checking out the operating room, ambulance, and much more!
The primary goal of the program is to increase awareness of health-related professions and the numerous career opportunities that are available in the health sciences. Club Scrub will be a great opportunity for students to acquire this knowledge by working side-by-side with Divine Savior Healthcare employees working in the field!!
The 2012-2013 Club Scrub sessions will be held the third Wednesday of every month, starting October 17, and lasting the whole school year. The meetings will last from 3:30-4:30. Snacks will be provided.
Club Scrub is free, so sign up early as enrollment is limited!! To enroll or to obtain additional information about Club Scrub, please contact Kevin Gratz or Chris Henthorne in the Human Resources Department at (608) 745-5623.
