If you are a woman ages 45-64 who is unable to pay for a mammogram or preventative health checkups, you may be eligible for the Wisconsin Well Woman Program.
The American Cancer Society recommends an annual mammogram screening for breast cancer starting at the age of 40. They also recommend annual cervical cancer screenings beginning at age 21 with HPV testing beginning at the age of 30.
This program provides selected preventative health screenings such as mammograms and Pap smear tests to low income, uninsured or underinsured women at no cost. Certain age, income and insurance guidelines apply.
If you think you, or someone you know, may be eligible and you need help paying for women's health screenings, call (608) 745- 6405 for more information.
